  1. Peyton Hillis, Arkansas
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 240.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.78.
    Combine 40: 4.58.
    Pro Day 40: 4.57.
    Benchx225: 26. Vertical: 35. Broad .
    Projected Round: 4.

Peyton Hillis could be this year's top fullback. In addition to his solid blocking and receiving skills, he displayed adequate speed, running a 4.58.

Blocks for Darren McFadden and Felix Jones. 'Nuff said. Also important to note that he caught 19 passes in 2006.

  2. Owen Schmitt, West Virginia
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 247.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.81.
    Combine 40: 4.70.
    Pro Day 40: 4.72.
    Benchx225: 26. Vertical: . Broad .
    Projected Round: 4.

Owen Schmitt improved on his 40, which is decent for a 247-pound bull with a mohawk.

Carried the ball 13 times for 109 yards in the Gator Bowl against Georgia Tech.

  3. Jehuu Caulcrick, Michigan State
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 254.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.65.
    Combine 40: 4.70.
    Benchx225: 16. Vertical: 37. Broad .
    Projected Round: 5.

  4. Jacob Hester, LSU
    Height: 5-11. Weight: 226.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.55.
    Combine 40: 4.75.
    Benchx225: 23. Vertical: 29. Broad .
    Projected Round: 5-6.

Jacob Hester wasn't nearly as fast as I thought he'd be. I don't see how he's anyone's top fullback, although he is pretty solid.

  5. Jerome Felton
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 247.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.62.
    Combine 40: 4.75.
    Benchx225: 30. Vertical: 32.5. Broad .
    Projected Round: 6.

Ran for 707 rushing yards and 23 touchdowns in 2006, and wasn't even the leading ball-carrier on the team! Jerome Felton is a touchdown machine; he scored 51 times in three years as a Paladin.

  6. Jed Collins, Washington State
    Height: 6-2. Weight: 255.
    40 Time: 4.81.
    Projected Round: 6.

Jed Collins will be an effective H-back in the NFL; he caught 52 passes in 2007. Not bad for a 255-pound back.

  7. Brandon McAnderson, Kansas
    Height: 5-10. Weight: 240.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.76.
    Pro Day 40: 4.91.
    Benchx225: 21. Vertical: 29. Broad 8-11.
    Projected Round: 6.

A tough runner who has more than 1,000 rushing yards on the year, eclipsing a yards-per-carry average of six.

  8. Carl Stewart, Auburn
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 230.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.53.
    Combine 40: 4.69.
    Pro Day 40: 4.69.
    Benchx225: 30. Vertical: 39.5. Broad .
    Projected Round: 7.

Blocked for Kenny Irons last year. Not the greatest threat carrying the ball, though he got involved in the passing attack last year, catching 13 balls.

  9. Marcel Reese, Washington
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 231.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.53.
    Pro Day 40 Time: 4.42.
    Benchx225: . Vertical: 36.5. Broad 9-6.
    Projected Round: 7.

  10. Michael Pitre, UCLA
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 245.
    40 Time: 4.72.
    Projected Round: 7.

    Caught 16 passes in 2006.

  11. Joe Surratt, Florida State
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 258.
    40 Time: 4.89.
    Projected Round: FA.

Joe Surratt fractured his right fibula, and will need surgery to repair it. He may redshirt.

Had shoulder surgery last year. It remains to be seen if Joe Surratt has fully recovered or not.

  12. Mike Cox, Georgia Tech (7/30)
    Height: 6-1. Weight: 250.
    40 Time: 4.89.
    Projected Round: FA.

Another fullback who went through shoulder surgery.

  13. Mike Tolbert, Coastal Carolina
    Height: 5-9. Weight: 245.
    40 Time: 4.68.
    Projected Round: FA.

I'm not sure what sort of competition Mike Tolbert was going against at Coastal Carolina, but the production was there; he had 748 rushing yards and nine touchdowns, leading the team.

  14. Doug Jones, Cincinnati
    Height: 6-4. Weight: 275.
    40 Time: 4.97.
    Projected Round: FA.

    Had 11 receptions in 2006.

  15. Brad Listorti, Massachusetts
    Height: 6-3. Weight: 251.
    Projected 40 Time: 4.66.
    Pro Day 40 Time: 4.72.
    Benchx225: 28. Vertical: 33. Broad 9-5.
    Projected Round: FA.

  16. Matt Hahn, Penn State
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 236.
    40 Time: 4.69.
    Projected Round: FA.

The full-time starter at fullback for Penn State this year, Matt Hahn caught 10 passes in 2006.

  17. Dionte Johnson, Ohio State
    Height: 6-0. Weight: 238.
    40 Time: 4.77.
    Projected Round: FA.
