Debaclation Nation

Welcome to the new Debaclation Nation, a fancy title for this Web site's new poll center.
Each Wednesday, I'll post an interesting (or boring) Debaclation Nation poll so you can vote and argue over it. I'll keep the Debaclation Nation polls archived, so you can go back and keep arguing or see who was right. The Eagles have added Nnamdi Asomugha, Jason Babin, Cullen Jenkins, Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, Evan Mathis and Vince Young this past week. Some consider them the NFC favorites. Will they reach the Super Bowl this year? July 31 |

Cornerbacks do not win superbowls...QBs and pressuring the QB does....Vick will not be able to do it even if he stays healthy and that D is not the best. Green Bay, and NO look better and others are in contention as well.

Just wait guys. Wait for a few years when ALL of this free agents they signed leave Philadelphia because of retirement, contract disputes or whatever, and they will leave a huge hole at many positions. People don't realize that Vick is going to be 32, Nnamdi is in his 30's, Jenkins is getting up there and is fragile, and of course, Desean Jackson has shown he can never be happy. The Eagles will implode like always. They could never beat the Packers in the playoffs.

The Vegas Odds have them 6/1 to win the SB which is tied with GB. NE is the favorite at 5/1. BTW- NO is 12-1.... Dallas 20-1

Okay people, the question was "yes" or "no". I answered yes. What am I supposed to do, say no?! And some of you Eagle fans out there (As I am til the day I die) need to stop saying, "Whoa whoa whoa, let's slow down and not overhype this" need to shut up and start supporting your team with all of the confidence in the world. Just answer Walt's question and support it. Walt didn't put a "maybe" as an answer so sack up and start being a true fan and believe in your team every year!

Eagles are Over- The Eagles are one of the youngest teams in the NFL. WTF are you talking about? Vick is 31. Manning is 35 and Brady is 33. Does that mean they are too old also? Being a hater that just doen't know anything about football makes your comment funny. Maybe they won't make the SB. But they are in the top 3 and to ignore that is just showing how stupid you really are.....

wow just wow - My bad, no way am I suggesting that the Cowboys are one of the elite, only saying they're better than they were last season. Hey, without Charlie Brown @ head coach, they'd HAVE to be better, right?
It's always easy to underestimate a team when they've stopped respecting & stopped playing for their HC. If Garrett shows even a little leadership, the Cowboys could make a pretty good speed bump for the Eagles to cross twice a season.

Packers should be the favorites. Eagles will choke somewhere down the stretch. Not only that, but nnamdi asomugha will have to go up against a league that boisters more elite WRs in my opinion.

What dumb f**kery is this?!
The Packers and Saints both have more complete teams with less injury concerns. They may win the divison due to having the masters of late season collapses in the Giants and the constantly overrated Cowboys to compete with, but they're the 3rd team in the NFC at best. DRC will get torched by slot recievers and Samuel gambles a lot. The safties are less than steller. I see their vanuted secondary giving up quite a few big plays. The linebackers are underwhelming and their D-line is old. Cullen Jenkins is made of plastic and i'll be shocked if he doesn't miss 2-3 games and play injured in several others. On offense they lack a power running game, their O-line isn't overly amazing, and their QB is extremely injury prone.

Ummmmm gez, did you mention the cowboys in the same sentence as the saints and falcons? Can I have some of the pipe please. Cowboys are garbage, if the redskins were not so inept and running their team they would easily be seller dwellers. Garret ran the O when phillips was there, still cant run the ball. The D is still bad, and they have made a lot of cuts lets see how the tem meshes.

Good moves but not enough to reach the Super Bowl
Can Evan Mathis stay healthy enough to keep Michael Vick healthy enough to keep Vince Young from closing out the season as Philadelphia's starting QB? Sure, the Eagles have improved but so have the Falcons, the Cowboys, and the Saints. And there's no way the new acquisitions make them as good as the Packers.

Asomugha was a great sign and other acquisitions look good on paper. The Packers are still the team to beat. As always Vick is prone to injury. Without being a fraud- Eagles are over posts are correct. As a jets fan i woulda loved Asomugha. Now we need babybaker Cromartie to be signed. Throw in a free Vasectomy.

As an Eagles fan I, personally, still think the Packers are the favorite. They won the Super Bowl with injuries left and right. What that team can do healthy is scary. But I think it's fair to say the Eagles are number two in the NFC right now. Juan Castillo is going to run a very simple defensive scheme that these players can pick up on quickly. It may not be right away but once these players gain some chemistry it's going to be a very difficult defense to deal with. I'd like to see them add a linebacker and a veteran strong safety. While the O-Line has had trouble I think it's a bit over exaggerated. Pro-Bowler Jamaal Jackson will be back at center. Danny Watkins will make an immediate impact at guard. And while I can't stand the guy, Winston Justice, will be one year better protecting Vick's blind side.
