| The following chart comprises the weigh-in numbers for the linebackers at the 2012 NFL Draft Scouting Combine in Indianapolis. 40 Times: As I explained on Twitter (@walterfootball), the official 40 times are incorrect, and they've been proven false via the NFL Network's simul-cam. For the 40 times, I use the NFL Network's unofficial times, which are more accurate. NFL teams use their own timed 40s anyway, so the official 40s are meaningless. |

If you watched Burfict play this year, you already knew how bad he is. Dude's just not very good.
@Vince...because he would've been behind Jahvid Best and Shane Vereen

No mention of Demario Davis of Arkansas State. He was considered a mid to late round guy but posted numbers in the group that Keuchly and Kendricks and Brown posted. Too bad because I had him as a sleeper pick for the Lions. Now he will be noticed.

Granted Carder played through injuries but if you're going to take that into consideration you have to do it with everyone. Devon Still played the Badgers with injuries and the flu plus it was in the middle of the Sandusky scandal when the team was getting death threats.

Courtney Upshaw doesn't need a natural position, because he's the best pass rusher in this draft class. No matter where he's taken, whatever team grabs him will get a monster who only cares about getting better.

Zach Brown has all the makings of another UNC headcase - just as his teammates Coples, Dwight Jones are showing.
There's no excuse for how that size and speed doesn't show up consistently at the college level. He looked so dominate at times - and then disappears. Maybe he can turn it around if Ray Lewis is in his earhole, but short of that he's more likely to take the easy money and sit.

Mychael Kendricks is 5-11, 239 and ran a 4.41. Someone find out (and let me know) please why no one stuck him at running back.

Personally, I'm not putting too much stock into Burfict's 40 time. Seeing as he plays off of emotion, I think you judge him off of game tape. Players like him usually don't get up for what is basically a workout.
Kuechly, on the other hand, is definitely now the #1 LB in the draft. I don't see him lasting past Philly.

Kuechly and Burfict are huge surprises for me in their 40. Kuechly was supposed to be 4.8 ish and I never would've guessed Burfict would run a nearly 5.0

Luke Kuechly HOLY CRAP MAN.
Talk about crushing the only doubt people had about you. Some scouts thought he might run a 4.9 - so much for that. ILB's don't go high very often, but Kuechly should go to any team with a need now, because his speed is great.

Brown ran that 4.45 while pulling up during part of the sprint.
It looked like he could have run a 4.3 flat if he finished out his 40 at full speed instead of basically stopping mid-way.

Vontaze Burfict running a 4.93 is going to disappoint all those people that thought he was the sure-fire diamond in the rough of this draft.
