I don't think Simmons or Ingram is some kind of franchise savior. Simmons is a great fit as a 4 in the modern NBA though because he can guard inside and on the perimeter, rebound, handle the ball like a guard, and score inside. Even if he never develops a reliable jumper, he is still going to be a very valuable player. I see him as a better version of Draymond Green who can create offense on his own much better than Green.

By the way, the fourth-annual Walter/Joker Annual Challenge is on, as I'll be competing with the Joker's College Picks. We each pick five games and see who does the best each week.
Cincinnati at Louisville Line: Louisville by 3. Friday, 8:00 p.m.
As a disclaimer, don't go nuts with my college football picks. I'm much better at picking NFL games (at least I used to be); I'm just doing these upon request. Follow @walterfootball for updates.
Louisville is 7-0, but the team is due for a loss. It's been barely getting by the likes of South Florida, Southern Miss and Florida International. Cincinnati should be able to knock them off.
College Football Pick: Cincinnati +3 (2 Units) -- Push; $0
Colorado at Oregon Line: Oregon by 45.5. Saturday, 3:00 p.m.
I bet USC as a huge favorite over Colorado last week and won, and I'm going to do the same with Oregon. Colorado just doesn't have the talent to compete with these Pac-12 powerhouses.
College Football Pick: Oregon -45.5 (3 Units) -- Correct; +$300
Ohio at Miami of Ohio Line: Ohio by 7. Saturday, 3:30 p.m.
I'm going to have another undefeated team go down. Ohio has barely gotten by 1-7 Akron (at home), 1-6 Buffalo (at home) and winless UMass. Miami of Ohio is much better than those teams and should be able to give the Bobcats their first loss.
College Football Pick: Miami of Ohio +7 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200
Ohio State at Penn State Line: Pick. Saturday, 5:30 p.m.
I've been a part of so many of these emotional "White Out" games. Penn State will take down an Ohio State team that has barely beaten the likes of Purdue and Indiana. This is a great time to fade them because they're traveling off an overtime victory.
College Football Pick: Penn State PK (4 Units) -- Incorrect; -$440
Syracuse at South Florida Line: South Florida by 2.5. Saturday, 7:00 p.m.
A small play to end the day. South Florida is a junk team that doesn't deserve to be favored over Syracuse.
College Football Pick: Syracuse +2.5 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100
