By the way, the fourth-annual Walter/Joker Annual Challenge is on, as I'll be competing with the Joker's College Picks. We each pick five games and see who does the best each week.
New Mexico at Texas Line: Texas by 38. Saturday, 8:00 p.m. (time change)
As a disclaimer, don't go nuts with my college football picks. I'm much better at picking NFL games; I'm just doing these upon request. Follow @walterfootball for updates.
I think my picks will be better this week. I watched a ton of college football last weekend, so I now have a good feel for the teams. Well, that, and I can't possibly do much worse. New Mexico State New Mexico won't be competitive with Texas.
College Football Pick: Texas -38 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200
Toledo at Wyoming Line: Wyoming by 3. Saturday, 4:00 p.m.
Wyoming, coming off a big loss, should not be favored over Toledo. I like the visitor to win straight up.
College Football Pick: Toledo +3 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200
Wisconsin at Oregon State Line: Wisconsin by 7.5. Saturday, 4:00 p.m.
When in doubt, bet against the crappy Big Ten. Wisconsin is getting a ton of action, yet the spread has gone from -8 to -7.5. Something's up.
College Football Pick: Oregon State +7.5 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100
Fresno State at Oregon Line: Oregon by 34. Saturday, 6:30 p.m.
This is yet another complete mismatch. Oregon should wipe the floor with Fresno State.
College Football Pick: Oregon -34 (2 Units) -- Incorrect; -$220
Kent State at Kentucky Line: Kentucky by 7. Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
Kentucky is garbage. That loss against Louisville could affect their focus in this game.
College Football Pick: Kent State +7 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110
I like your write up on Trubisky. I also like the gutsy move of Mahomes at #2 especially with Garrett on the board. However, there are glaring mistakes elsewhere. No way, the Saints draft a RB in 1st round after paying Peterson to be the primary back up to Ingram. Plus, they desperately need talent on the defensive side of the ball. Also, the Browns 2nd pick wouldn't be a rush OLB when they are converting to a base 4-3 and have Jamie Collins at the Sam.
Come on Walt. You have the Vikings drafting for need. They did a fairly good job if FA filling needs. I could see the RB in the second because thats value. The only needs they have are at dt and safety. I hope they pick highest rated player.
Made several updates based on Conley news, changes in both rounds.
I don't care how you did against Western Albuquerque Institute of Technology. How did you do vs ranked teams? Didn't play against any? Okay, for you I leaned on composite rankings. I would have done more than 2 rounds, but the hackers kept me out for what seemed like an eternity.
