By the way, the fourth-annual Walter/Joker Annual Challenge is on, as I'll be competing with the Joker's College Picks. We each pick five games and see who does the best each week.
New Mexico at Texas Line: Texas by 38. Saturday, 8:00 p.m. (time change)
As a disclaimer, don't go nuts with my college football picks. I'm much better at picking NFL games; I'm just doing these upon request. Follow @walterfootball for updates.
I think my picks will be better this week. I watched a ton of college football last weekend, so I now have a good feel for the teams. Well, that, and I can't possibly do much worse. New Mexico State New Mexico won't be competitive with Texas.
College Football Pick: Texas -38 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200
Toledo at Wyoming Line: Wyoming by 3. Saturday, 4:00 p.m.
Wyoming, coming off a big loss, should not be favored over Toledo. I like the visitor to win straight up.
College Football Pick: Toledo +3 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200
Wisconsin at Oregon State Line: Wisconsin by 7.5. Saturday, 4:00 p.m.
When in doubt, bet against the crappy Big Ten. Wisconsin is getting a ton of action, yet the spread has gone from -8 to -7.5. Something's up.
College Football Pick: Oregon State +7.5 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100
Fresno State at Oregon Line: Oregon by 34. Saturday, 6:30 p.m.
This is yet another complete mismatch. Oregon should wipe the floor with Fresno State.
College Football Pick: Oregon -34 (2 Units) -- Incorrect; -$220
Kent State at Kentucky Line: Kentucky by 7. Saturday, 7:30 p.m.
Kentucky is garbage. That loss against Louisville could affect their focus in this game.
College Football Pick: Kent State +7 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110
No point in trading for Cousins, there's almost no chance he succeeds. 0 WRs and TEs to throw it to, so it would just be a waste of his prime years. If Shanahan reealllly wants him, wait until next year since he seems to have a rift with the Redskins. Besides, next year's quarterback class is much better if they fail to sign Cousins in FA.
I don't agree on a lot. They have so many cuts on the OL you didn't mention including Dunlap and Franklin which will save them 12+ million. Stuckey is not worth 3 million. They can make on very solid move or a couple with draft help to protect Phillip. Cruz could be an interesting pair with Allen if he can return to prior form though.
