By the way, the fourth-annual Walter/Joker Annual Challenge is on, as I'll be competing with the Joker's College Picks. We each pick five games and see who does the best each week.

South Carolina at Vanderbilt
Line: South Carolina by 6.5.

Thursday, 7:00 p.m.

As a disclaimer, don't go nuts with my college football picks. I'm much better at picking NFL games; I'm just doing these upon request. Follow @walterfootball for updates.

This is one of those situations where the nationally televised road favorite is getting tons of action. In fact, South Carolina is getting twice as much money as any other team Thursday night. Vanderbilt is a live home dog with the superior quarterback.

College Football Pick: Vanderbilt +6.5 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200

Boise State at Michigan State
Line: Michigan State by 7.

Friday, 8:00 p.m.

Boise State has lost so many starters, including Kellen Moore. I feel like they're just touchdown underdogs based on name recognition. Michigan State is far superior.

College Football Pick: Michigan State -7 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Ohio at Penn State
Line: Penn State by 6.

Saturday, 12:00 p.m.

This has an "us against the world" feel about it. The NCAA and media destroyed Penn State this offseason, so the remaining Nittany Lion players may want to prove that they're still a legitimate team with a big victory in this game.

College Football Pick: Penn State -6 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Florida International at Duke
Line: Duke by 3.5.

Saturday, 7:00 p.m.

The better team is getting the points in this matchup. Florida International won eight games last season and returns most of its starters. Duke stinks, as always.

College Football Pick: Florida International +3.5 (2 Units) -- Incorrect; -$220

Kentucky at Louisville
Line: Louisville by 13.5.

Sunday, 3:30 p.m.

Louisville is a good team, but this is a big rivalry, so I feel like the Cardinals are favored by too much, especially considering that Kentucky is coming out of the vastly superior conference. By the way, the underdog is 8-4 against the spread in this series since 2000.

College Football Pick: Kentucky +13.5 (2 Units) -- Incorrect; -$220

Also, I dunno how I missed this one, but Wisconsin is without question the play in that Big Ten matchup. I'd be here all day if I were to list the reasons, but let's just say Nebraska might actually consider benching Martinez at some point during this game...

Could not disagree more with the Kansas St. pick. Last year Kansas st. had a kickoff return of a td and a long pass td. Baylor had almost 700 yards of offense against them. This Baylor team may be better. I like Baylor big!!

I agree with Walt on Clemson, but that's about it.

I'm not impressed by K-State's last-second, lucky win over Miami. That Baylor QB makes Jacory Harris look like Curtis Painter by comparison. In big games like this, go with the best player on the field.

That USC-ASU game last week was closer than the final score indicated, and Arizona's only win all year was in Week 1 vs Northern Arizona. I don't see how any sane person could expect them to keep it within 2 TD's on the road against an elite QB. As overrated as USC may be, this Arizona team is beyond bad.

I under estimated Southern Miss QB Austin Davis. Just found out he has already broke Brett Farve's record for touchdowns at Southern Miss and threw 3 TDS today against Virginia. Davis goes into the Stoney Brook file. Went 1-1 with the Kansas State victory. I figured Miami won its BCS Title game with Ohio State last week.

UAB - 0 penalties. ECU - 6 turnovers! Screwing me right in the butthole! Need ECU's D to stop UAB and run the clock out!

Damn Jeff, you must be playing a card because your lines are several pts off from mine!

Killing these halftime lines today 8-2! Hit Wisconsin over 30 at half and pushed on -28.
Play of the day was UAB under 24.5 pts for game. They put up 10 the first half but ECU is killing me with their 4 turnovers!

Tonight I'm going with LSU -5, BSU -17 at half and liking utah st alot, have them at half and for the game. Good luck everyone.
