By the way, the fourth-annual Walter/Joker Annual Challenge is on, as I'll be competing with the Joker's College Picks. We each pick five games and see who does the best each week.
UCLA at Arizona Line: Arizona by 4.5. Thursday, 9:00 p.m.
As a disclaimer, don't go nuts with my college football picks. I'm much better at picking NFL games (though not this year); I'm just doing these upon request. Follow @walterfootball for updates.
I think it's ridiculous that Arizona is favored. This team has dropped five games in a row. They have no right to be laying points against a competent team.
College Football Pick: UCLA +4.5 (2 Units) -- Incorrect; -$220
Oregon at Colorado Line: Oregon by 30.5. Saturday, 3:30 p.m.
I'm taking a bunch of heavy favorites this week, including Oregon. Colorado is complete garbage. The Ducks are looking like they're about to get on a roll, so I think they should be able to cover this spread pretty easily.
College Football Pick: Oregon -30.5 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200
Air Force at Boise State Line: Boise State by 31. Saturday, 3:30 p.m.
Another large favorite. The Broncos are getting screwed over by the stupid NCAA again, so they need to impress the computers and voters. They're going to demolish Air Force.
College Football Pick: Boise State -31 (3 Units) -- Incorrect; -$330
Tennessee at Alabama Line: Alabama by 28.5. Saturday, 7:15 p.m.
Alabama's my favorite play of the week. Nick Saban has sand in his vag right now, so he's definitely going to make sure that his team destroys Tennessee. The Crimson Tide is on a roll, and I think this spread is about 15 points too short.
College Football Pick: Alabama -28.5 (5 Units) -- Correct; +$500
Texas Tech at Oklahoma Line: Oklahoma by 29. Saturday, 8:00 p.m.
Same story - the Sooners need to impress the computers and pollsters against a crappy conference opponent. This has blowout written all over it.
College Football Pick: Oklahoma -29 (3 Units) -- Incorrect; -$330
I like your write up on Trubisky. I also like the gutsy move of Mahomes at #2 especially with Garrett on the board. However, there are glaring mistakes elsewhere. No way, the Saints draft a RB in 1st round after paying Peterson to be the primary back up to Ingram. Plus, they desperately need talent on the defensive side of the ball. Also, the Browns 2nd pick wouldn't be a rush OLB when they are converting to a base 4-3 and have Jamie Collins at the Sam.
Come on Walt. You have the Vikings drafting for need. They did a fairly good job if FA filling needs. I could see the RB in the second because thats value. The only needs they have are at dt and safety. I hope they pick highest rated player.
Made several updates based on Conley news, changes in both rounds.
I don't care how you did against Western Albuquerque Institute of Technology. How did you do vs ranked teams? Didn't play against any? Okay, for you I leaned on composite rankings. I would have done more than 2 rounds, but the hackers kept me out for what seemed like an eternity.
