By the way, the fourth-annual Walter/Joker Annual Challenge is on, as I'll be competing with the Joker's College Picks. We each pick five games and see who does the best each week.
Michigan at Michigan State Line: Michigan State by 2. Saturday, 12:00 p.m.
As a disclaimer, don't go nuts with my college football picks. I'm much better at picking NFL games (though not this year); I'm just doing these upon request. Follow @walterfootball for updates.
I love Michigan in this matchup. It seems like no one respects them; hell, I wondered what they were doing in ESPN's mock BS top 10 rankings myself, although I am biased since I'm a Penn State alumnus. Still though, Michigan is undefeated and should be favored.
College Football Pick: Michigan +2 (5 Units) -- Incorrect; -$550
Navy at Rutgers Line: Rutgers by 4. Saturday, 2:00 p.m.
I don't like this spot for Rutgers; they're now favorites after two consecutive underdog victories. This type of dynamic change can be disastrous.
College Football Pick: Navy +4 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200
Western Kentucky at Florida Atlantic Line: Florida Atlantic by 3. Saturday, 4:00 p.m.
I find it ridiculous that Florida Atlantic is favored. They stink.
College Football Pick: Western Kentucky +3 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200
Kansas State at Texas Tech Line: Texas Tech by 3.5. Saturday, 7:00 p.m.
Another instance in which an undefeated team is an underdog. This line is way off.
College Football Pick: Kansas State +3.5 (3 Units) -- Correct; +$300
Arizona State at Oregon Line: Oregon by 14. Saturday, 10:15 p.m.
Everyone seems really down on Oregon because LaMichael James is out. Well, the Ducks have plenty of other great players - and they're going to be determined to prove that against the Sun Devils on Saturday night.
College Football Pick: Oregon -14 (2 Units) -- Push; $0
I can't imagine the Pats trading JG for anything less than a 1st round pick. We're talking about a potential starting/franchise QB here who is game ready, looked great when he had the chance to play. He is probably a better prospect than any QB in this draft class. Given the fact that Brady is 39 and nobody knows for sure how many more years he decides to play, the Pats may want to hang onto him for at least another season while he's still under contract. I can't see the Pats giving him up cheap and I can see teams in need of a QB giving up a mid-late 1st round pick. Considering what some teams have given up just to move up a few spots in the draft for a QB, a 1st round pick seems pretty reasonable.
