LSU at Mississippi State
Line: LSU by 3.5.
Thursday, 8:00 p.m.
As a disclaimer, don't go nuts with my college football picks. I'm much better at picking NFL games; I'm just doing these upon request. Follow @walterfootball for updates.
This is a WalterFootball.com special. I love this situation. You have a home underdog under the weeknight lights where the public is pounding the visitor despite the fact that the spread is moving toward the host's direction. This is a huge game for Mississippi State. I think they win.
College Football Pick: Mississippi State +3.5 (4 Units) -- Incorrect; -$440
Auburn at Clemson
Line: Clemson by 3.5.
Saturday, 12:00 p.m.
I really have to wonder why Clemson is favored in this game. Auburn had a stinker in the opener, so that makes me think that's playing into this line. I don't think that should matter at all; War Eagle had a nice rebound performance last week against Mississippi State. They're the better of the two Tiger teams.
College Football Pick: Auburn +3.5 (3 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$330
Duke at Boston College
Line: Boston College by 7.
Saturday, 12:30 p.m.
I can't believe I'm picking Duke, but Boston College is complete garbage. At least the Blue Devils are a fuctional team. The Eagles are even worse.
College Football Pick: Duke +7 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200
Syracuse at USC
Line: USC by 16.5.
Saturday, 8:00 p.m.
Hey, at least this time USC can't push the spread 30 minutes after blocking a game-winning field goal and return it for a non-touchdown. I'm going against the Trojans again. They're really overrated.
College Football Pick: Syracuse +16.5 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110
Stanford at Arizona
Line: Stanford by 10.
Saturday, 10:45 p.m.
Nick Foles looks lost without his star receiver, Juron Criner. It doesn't look like Criner will play in this game, and even if he does, he won't be 100 percent. This Stanford team is on a mission, and the Wildcats don't have what it takes to stop them.
College Football Pick: Stanford -10 (3 Units) -- Correct; +$300

Thanks bigri that's the feedback I love. Changing my units to 0 on the over and 5 ok state.
I'll get back to you on that air force. The more I read about em' the more I love em'!! They return something like 80% of their starters and last year they covered all but one game when they where the underdog I think( get back to you on some better stats) these military teams love the triple option but I think their qb has a hell of an arm if I remember.

@ Sweetmullet
Dont compare Az scoring 30 and Lou scoring the 30 the same thing. The defensive starters for OSU were only out here together for a small portion of the game. The starting unit only gave up 2 field goals when they were in the game.

NEWS!!!!
the showdown of marquee receivers -- Juron Criner and Justin Blackmon -- doesn't look like it will happen because Criner has missed practices with an undisclosed illness all week.

Locked in game so far:
OSU -13.5 3 units Miss St. -6.5 3 units Staying away from ND@MIch i just dont have that feel and starting to think ND covers this game. 3 TO in the redzone and the yardage. Michigan has a weak 2ndary that might get exploited vs ND. Malcolm Floyd has huge BEASTMODE potential. I looked at Air Force this am b/c I saw the chatter about them. These guys are so the option team and got lucky. Their QB threw 2 ints against South Dakota. This game will be close b/c I rode AF last year like Hawaii ATS. I just feel like a pissed TCU defense is ready for the kitchen sink this 2nd time around. I'm on TCU -2 definetly and will put units on it after my plays tonight.

what this says to me
Arizona will score 34 if Louisiana can score 34 points. Oklahoma st has the majority of their team returning from last year PLUS a quality transfer. Strong O-line against an inexperienced/injured wildcats defensive unit means they'll sit back and throw all day. Arizona has too many holes in this line-up for me to go with them. Oklahoma st is playing at boone pickens on Turf where AZ is used to grass. I see at least a pick from Ok states Dbacks Ok state -14 3 units over 65 3 units again good luck and please do your own research I am not a vegas insider. I brew beer for a living.

sorry for the length jsut being thorough.
Arizona Returning 5 offensive and 5 defensive players Returning perhaps the best QB and WR combo in Nick Foles and Crimer. Nick Foles threw for 412 yrds(80+% completion) and crimer caught a td and 151 yrds. Also picked up Texas transfer Buckner. in WR Lost their #2 back but still plenty of experience. They won't run anyway Lost their ENTIRE offensive line and this is the big weakness Lost their only two qaulity Defensive ends on their D-line Returned 3 of 6 linebackers but fisher tore an acl in spring training Dbacks looked alright. Their game against Northern Arizona was alot closer than the 41-10 shows. The score at half was 14-10 with N Ariz recv the ball in the 2nd half. The lumberjacks threw an interception and never recovered. The wildcats scored 3 of their touchdowns in the 4th qaurter.

My 2 cents on thursday's game.
OK state the cowboys return NINE!!! offensive and 5 defensive players TWENTY SEVEN yr old NYyankee Weeden returns with Biletnikoff award winner Blackmon. They lose fullback and top blocker Bryant Ward but keep the rest O-line keeps EVERYONE and ADDS JC transfer Michael Bowie(he will start) Lose #1 and #2 linebackers but plenty of exp in the rest Return 7 of 8 Defensive backs. Joe Defrost has orchestrated some of the best special teams units(nick folk, dez bryant) Downside New Offensive coordinater Todd Monken shouldn't factor in too much since he was the wide rcvr coach 3 yrs ago PLUS Gundy has always had a hand in play calling and drawing up plays. Louisiana LA was a horrible team with a new coach. They lost half their starters and were 3-9 last yr. Final score was 34-61 against the cowboys.

No doubt Michigan will be on fire this week. Kelly is once again showing that ND has no business having a chance to win this year. And also no reason to be independent. They could never make it in a big time football conference.

@Ryan I agree. If ND played Rees the whole game they probably would have won and I'm a USF fan. However, I'm happy with the outcome.

ND outgained USF by almost 250 yards, but had 3 redzone TOs. They were the better team, but just had a couple dumb plays that cost them the game.
Western Michigan was giving Michigan all they could handle, but Michigan got 2 lucky defensive TDs (one 90+ yards right when WMU was about to score) to make what was really a close game look lopsided. I'm no Domer fan, but Michigan is the overrated team here. Take ND to the bank.

TCU -2 is just crazy. I'm taking them to win by 20 at least. Baylor threw everything including the kitchen sink at them. NO WAY!! Air force doesnt have the athletes, QB, or just offense to keep up with TCU. Pashall (sp) can throw the rock and coming from an option offense I know their QB and offense plays are built for comebacks. It's a no brainer honestly. I'm surprised but come Sat. If I'm wrong i'll eat a lot of crow.
