Stanford vs. Wisconsin
Line: Stanford by 6.5.
Jan. 1, 5:00 p.m.
As a disclaimer, don't go nuts with my college football picks. I'm much better at picking NFL games (at least I used to be); I'm just doing these upon request. Follow @walterfootball for updates.
No one expected Stanford to be in the Rose Bowl exhibition game prior to the season. I doubt the Cardinal players expected it. But here they are, ready to take on the Big Ten champs. They'll be up for Wisconsin, a team that just isn't very good. Trust me, I've bet against the Badgers a couple of times this year.
College Football Pick: Stanford -6.5 (1 Unit)
Northern Illinois at Florida State
Line: Florida State by 13.5.
Jan. 1, 8:30 p.m.
Remember when Florida State was undefeated and everyone was talking about the team possibly battling Alabama in the national championship? Well, the Semionles have certainly fallen. Sure. they've been invited to a meaningless BCS bowl (aren't they really just the same as the other ones?) but they have to take on Northern Illinois. Why would they care about stupid Northern Illinois? Meanwhile, the Northern Illinois players have spent the past month listening to why they don't belong in a stupid BCS bowl. They'll be pumped to prove everyone wrong.
College Football Pick: Northern Illinois +13.5 (2 Units)
Oregon vs. Kansas State
Line: Oregon by 8.5.
Jan. 3, 8:30 p.m.
What was that Kansas State loss to Baylor? Seriously, how was an undefeated team embarrassed like that against a mediocre opponent so late in the year? The Ducks are at least legit. They should be able to prevail over Bill Snyder, who has a 4-9 spread record in bowl games.
College Football Pick: Oregon -8.5 (1 Unit)
Kent State vs. Arkansas State
Line: Arkansas State by 3.5.
Jan. 6, 9:00 p.m.
The fourth BCS bowl I'd like to discuss is Kent State versus Arkansas State. This one must be super important because it's being played just one day prior to the national championship.
This may surprise you, but this is Kent State's first bowl appearance since 1972. I was certainly shocked because I assumed the Flashes made it to one when Julian Edelman quarterbacked the team. They'll be pumped to play Arkansas State.
College Football Pick: Kent State +3.5 (2 Units)
Alabama vs. Notre Dame
Line: Alabama by 9.5.
Jan. 7, 8:30 p.m.
Always bet on the SEC team in the BCS championship*. That's what I've learned over the years. Dating back to 2006, the SEC is a perfect 5-0 versus non-SEC competition in the BCS championship.
* - Note that this is not technically the national championship. This is the BCS Championship. The winner wins the BCS, but if the voters should choose to vote, say, Texas A&M No. 1 after this contest, the Aggies would technically split the title with Alabama. Just sayin'.
Alabama has too much defensive power for Notre Dame's offense to handle. In fact, the Tide's speed is just going to be overwhelming. The Irish should be competitive for a while, but Alabama will eventually pull away and win by 14-20 points.
College Football Pick: Alabama -9.5 (1 Unit)

Hey guys, I won on the LSU/MISS ST OVER last night big!!! But I also took MISS ST ATS and they never came out of the locker room after halftime!!! Their defense looked horrible in the 2nd half and couldnt stop a single run, they were absolutely gassed.
I like BOISE STATE & OVER and IOWA STATE & OVER tonight. Let me know what you guys think. bird

On the Stnaford game. I see as this if Stanford gets up early Arizona will be toast. Stanford hasn't put together a good game yet. Just great 2nd halfs. The reason Foles has so many yards is b/c this team never runs the ball. Against OSU he had all those yards and how many TD and what quarter was it when they started scoring. I think Stanfords D is better than OSU, but offense isn't as explosive. Duke did well against them last week and then the coaching staff let Luck win the game. Their offensive coordinator tries to make their offense balanced instead of letting your guy get his first, get ahead and then spread it out.

Oh well. I got the Under right by a long shot. I had no idea they would put in that other QB like that. Just horrible and practically demoralizing if I am Chris Relf. That clown of a back-up just heaved a tip drill ball into space. LSU was done trying to pass and score. Thanks to that prick it cost me my teaser. That's gambling and on to getting some serious cash now that my only personal pick crashed as i thought they would.

and it gets annoying with people throwing out imaginary money on a blog. And it gets hard to tell if they have a winning record. Units just make it easier.
I said 4 units on Miss st and 2 units on under. I came out - 2 units. Make a unit whatever you want. Money is the arbitrary aspect of the equation. $100 to me might mean a weeks pay, while to you it might be an hours work.

@scrotie
units are different for each person and I could say 10 grand, but what does that mean. How does it compare to my weekly bankroll. I could be a wal-mart heir with a trustfund and 10 grand is what I wipe my a$$ with every morning. 10 units is usually a standard weeks play. If someone says they're playing 10 units and loses. You shouldn't hear from them for a week. As far as that game being a blowout. It was pretty neck and neck until midway 3rd quarter. The LSU depth was too much and Miss st. wide recvrs were scared little kittens the second half. I'm not sure I'd call a 19-6 a blowout. Tommorrow's game with Boise... that'll be a blowout.

as far as 'experts' go, do you guys realize that a lot of these guys(tv/radio/on-line)-work for the sportsbooks. they want to pump a line one way or the other. of course LSU was going to kick Miss St. in the teeth. but a lot of 'experts' had the bulldogs +4.5. this happens a lot and there is a reason. the real experts are the refs/mafia/teams/etc
