Western Michigan vs. Syracuse.
Line: Syracuse by 13.

2:45 PM ET (Game 711-712)

Syracuse is leaking oil and is in serious danger of losing this game. Even if it prevails, the team is so offensively challenged that asking it to beat any opponent in this field by more than 13 could be too much.

College Basketball Pick: Western Michigan +13 (1 Unit)

Wisconsin-Milwaukee vs. Villanova.
Line: Villanova by 16.5.

9:25 PM ET (Game 715-716)

Jay Wright has done well in the NCAA Tournament for the most part, but his teams have had a habit of barely scraping by 15- and 16-seeded teams. I think 16.5 points is way too much, so I'm taking the underdog.

College Basketball Pick: Wisconsin-Milwaukee +16.5 (1 Unit)

Manhattan at Louisville.
Line: Louisville by 16.5.

9:50 PM ET (Game 723-724)

I've posted two underdog picks, but I'm not making it three in a row. Louisville is the play here. The Cardinals are the best team in the NCAA Tournament - despite their ridiculous No. 4 seeding - and they have a habit of destroying mediocre or worse competition. This should be an easy blowout.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Louisville -16.5 (1 Unit)

Wednesday, Feb. 26, 2014 (0-1, -$110)

West Virginia at Iowa State.
Line: Iowa State by 10.

8:00 PM ET (Game 755-756)

Words can't describe my frustration with college basketball. Indiana, a 10.5-point underdog, was up by 10 at halftime last night, yet I still managed to lose that game. Something similar happened the previous week in the Ohio State-Northwestern game.

I'm going to try West Virginia tonight. The Mountaineers have played plenty of close games this season, while Iowa State has barely been able to cover the spread. I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: West Virginia +10 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2014 (0-1, -$110)

Indiana at Wisconsin.
Line: Wisconsin by 10.5.

9:00 PM ET (Game 543-544)

Indiana seldom gets blown out, so I'm taking the double digits in this matchup. Wisconsin's offense typically scores in the 60s, so the Hoosiers should be able to cover as long as they get into the 50s.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Indiana +10.5 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 (0-1, -$110)

Texas Tech at Oklahoma State.
Line: Oklahoma State by 10.

1:30 PM ET (Game 543-544)

Oklahoma State has lost what seems like a billion games in a row, so it doesn't deserve to be a 10-point favorite here. This spread is simply an overreaction to Marcus Smart returning, but the Cowboys were losing with him. Texas Tech just nearly beat Kansas and hung with Iowa State on the road, so I don't know why the Red Raiders couldn't stay within this high number.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Texas Tech +10 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Friday, Feb. 21, 2014 (1-0, +$100)

Harvard at Penn.
Line: Harvard by 10.5.

7:00 PM ET (Game 829-830)

Harvard has proven this year that it can destroy crappy teams on the road. I'd say that at 6-15, Penn constitutes as a crappy team. They've already lost by 30 to Harvard earlier this month. They just can't match up with the top team in the Ivy League.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Harvard -10.5 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100

Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014 (1-0, +$100)

Michigan State at Purdue.
Line: Michigan State by 5.5.

7:00 PM ET (Game 527-528)

Tom Izzo is arguably the top coach in college basketball. One of the best things he does is get his team focused after a defeat; the Spartans are 10-5 against the spread following a loss in the past three seasons. Purdue is not very good, so the Spartans should be able to take care of business tonight.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Michigan State -5.5 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100

Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 (0-1, -$110)

Northwestern at Ohio State.
Line: Ohio State by 14.

7:00 PM ET (Game 733-734)

Here's another high spread in the Big Ten, which I don't get. Ohio State typically plays in the 60s, so if it scores 65, Northwestern will cover if it gets to 52 or more points. Besides, the Buckeyes are overrated anyway.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Northwestern +14 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 (0-1, -$110)

Texas at Iowa State.
Line: Iowa State by 6.

7:00 PM ET (Game 525-526)

The best thing you can do is fade overhyped players and teams. That would describe Iowa State, thanks to Melvin Ejim's recent stat line. Iowa State has played like crap since, so I like the idea of getting points with the superior team. Hopefully there's no awful beat tonight.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Texas +6 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Monday, Feb. 17, 2014 (0-0-1, $0)

Oklahoma State at Baylor.
Line: Baylor by 6.

9:00 PM ET (Game 707-708)

This spread has been pushed up enough that you have to wonder if the sharps were waiting for it to hit a certain number so they could take Oklahoma State. Baylor isn't that good, while the Cowboys have too much talent to be six-point underdogs in this matchup, even without Marcus Smart.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Oklahoma State +6 (1 Unit) -- Push; $0

Sunday, Feb. 16, 2014 (1-0, +$100)

Nebraska at Michigan State.
Line: Michigan State by 13.5.

3:00 PM ET (Game 861-862)

I'm taking Nebraska for the same reason I selected Northwestern on Thursday night. Michigan State usually plays in the high 60s or low 70s, so asking it to win by two touchdowns or more is a bit too much. Besides, Nebraska is a decent team that tends to play close games.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Nebraska +13.5 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100

Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014 (1-1, +$90)

California at Washington.
Line: California by 1.5.

3:00 PM ET (Game 543-544)

This spread doesn't make much sense to me. California has played just one good game in the past month; it most recently barely beat a far-inferior Washington State squad. Washington is 12-2 at home and should be able to take care of business.

College Basketball Pick: Washington +1.5 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

N.C. State at Syracuse.
Line: Syracuse by 14.

3:00 PM ET (Game 547-548)

Syracuse is overrated. It's one of the better teams in college basketball, but it's definitely not the clear-cut No. 1 squad. It's gotten lucky in so many victories, and it hasn't blown out an opponent in forever. N.C. State is a good team and should play the Orange pretty tough. This spread is about five points higher than it should be, only because of Syracuse's unblemished record.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: N.C. State +14 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200

Friday, Feb. 14, 2014 (1-0, +$100)

Louisville at Temple.
Line: Louisville by 14.

6:00 PM ET (Game 825-826)

I usually pick underdogs, but I'm taking the road favorite this evening. Louisville consistently dispatches crappy teams on the road and shouldn't have any issues with Temple. The Owl players could also be distracted by the ridiculous snowstorms we've had in Philly; this game wasn't even supposed to be played tonight. The Cardinals, meanwhile, have just been sitting around, waiting for this game to start. They'll be focused.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Louisville -14 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100

Thursday, Feb. 13, 2014 (1-0, +$100)

Northwestern at Michigan State.
Line: Michigan State by 15.5.

7:00 PM ET (Game 517-518)

Northwestern went into Wisconsin and won straight up recently, so I don't get why this spread is so large. The Spartans tend to play their games in the 60s and low 70s, so that should give the Wildcats a chance to hang around and cover this large number.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Northwestern +15.5 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100

Wednesday, Feb. 12, 2014 (0-1, -$110)

Baylor at TCU.
Line: Baylor by 9.

7:00 PM ET (Game 743-744)

This spread doesn't make much sense to me. Baylor has won just one game since Jan. 11, while TCU has played quite well lately despite its record. The Horned Frogs have battled Texas, Texas Tech and Oklahoma all close, so they should be able to compete with Baylor.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: TCU +9 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Tuesday, Feb. 11, 2014 (1-0, +$100)

Southern Illinois at Wichita State.
Line: Wichita State by 15.5.

8:00 PM ET (Game 525-526)

My crappy college basketball picks are back! I needed a break after that 0-3 Saturday in which a terrible California team somehow upset Arizona. I want to go back to the basics, which is taking big spreads that don't make much sense. For instance, Wichita State is laying 15.5 tonight despite having one victory of more than 15 since Jan. 18. Southern Illinois, meanwhile, has won four in a row, so its 10-15 record is a bit misleading.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Southern Illinois +15.5 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100

Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 (0-3, -$440)

Kentucky at Missouri.
Line: Kentucky by 2.

1:30 PM ET (Game 551-552)

I have three college basketball picks today. The first is on Missouri. Like the Knicks, Yankees, Lakers, Notre Dame Fighting Irish, etc. Kentucky is either dominant or overrated because of who they are. This Kentucky team is overrated; it can't handle quality competition on the road. The Wildcats' sole victory in a visiting role is against crappy Vanderbilt, and they didn't even cover that spread. Kentucky and Missouri are about even, so the Tigers should be -3 or -3.5.

College Basketball Pick: Missouri +2 (2 Units) -- Incorrect; -$220

Arizona State at Stanford.
Line: Stanford by 5.5.

4:00 PM ET (Game 611-612)

Speaking of even teams, Arizona State and Stanford are pretty close. KenPom even has the Sun Devils being a bit better. Factoring that in, as well as the fact that Stanford is coming off a heartbreaking loss to Arizona, I like the visitor's chances here.

College Basketball Pick: Arizona State +5.5 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Arizona at California.
Line: Arizona by 4.

10:30 PM ET (Game 693-694)

Let's make it two from the Grand Canyon State. Arizona had a close call with Stanford, but I can't imagine it having much of an issue with a California team that is collapsing. The Golden Bears were once 14-4, but they are playing terrible basketball right now. I know playing a publicly backed road favorite is a square move, but I think the Wildcats are the right side.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Arizona -4 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Thursday, Jan. 30, 2014 (1-0, +$200)

Indiana at Nebraska.
Line: Nebraska by 2.

8:15 PM ET (Game 531-532)

This Nebraska team is underrated. They're especially potent at home, where they've beaten Minnesota and Ohio State, and lost to Michigan by just one point. Indiana has just a single road victory this season.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Nebraska -2 (2 Units) -- Correct; +$200

Thursday, Jan. 23, 2014 (0-1, -$110)

Buffalo at Ball State.
Line: Buffalo by 7.5.

8:00 PM ET (Game 525-526)

Laying 7.5 points with a 9-5 team on the road may seem risky, but Buffalo is on fire, having won five of six with the only loss coming at 16-2 Toledo by just two points. This is also a fade of Ball State, a team that has quit. The Cardinals have lost their previous three games by double digits.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Buffalo -7.5 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014 (0-1, -$110)

Duke at Miami.
Line: Duke by 4.

7:30 PM ET (Game 751-752)

This is a huge game for Miami. LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and other celebrities will be at the arena to see the Hurricanes, who are the definition of a live dog tonight. Duke is favored, but despite all of the public money coming in on them, this spread is shifting toward Miami. That indicates that the Hurricanes are the sharp play. The Blue Devils are overrated and have yet to win on the road.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Miami +4 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014 (0-1, -$110)

Kansas State at Texas.
Line: Texas by 5.5.

7:00 PM ET (Game 515-516)

ESPN has gushed all over Kansas State lately, as some of the analysts have admired how the Wildcats have bounced back after losing against Kansas. Well, they won both games at home, and I'm not convinced they can beat a good team on the road. The sharps agree; despite tons of public action on the visitor, this spread has risen in Texas' favor.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Texas -5.5 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Monday, Jan. 20, 2014 (1-0, +$100)

Ohio State at Nebraska.
Line: Ohio State by 8.

7:00 PM ET (Game 729-730)

Ohio State was always a farce, and now its season is spiraling out of control. Despite this, there's tons of public action on them tonight. The sharps are all over the Huskers, as they recognize that despite its mediocre 8-8 record, Nebraska doesn't get blown out very often. The team's previous two losses have been by a combined seven points, as it nearly beat Michigan back on Jan. 9.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Nebraska +8 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100

Saturday, Jan. 18, 2014 (1-0, +$100)

Iowa State at Texas.
Line: Iowa State by 2.

4:00 PM ET (Game 581-582)

Iowa State got off to a 14-0 record, but that was a farce. They've since lost consecutive games, which shouldn't have been surprising. However, the public still sees the Cyclones as a great team, which is why they're betting on them heavily this afternoon, completely ignoring the fact that they haven't beaten a good team on the road this year. Texas, backed by the sharps, should be able to prevail.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Texas +2 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100

Thursday, Jan. 16, 2014 (0-1, -$110)

UCLA at COlorado
Line: Colorado by 1.

8:00 PM ET (Game 537-538)

UCLA is a very public team, which would explain why casual bettors are pounding them tonight. This spread is off though, as Colorado should be favored by at least three. The Bruins have played only one game on the road, and they lost it. Colorado, meanwhile, is a perfect 11-0 as a host. This is a big game for the Buffs, and the sharps perhaps recognize that because they're betting on them tonight.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Colorado -1 (1 Unit) -- Incorrect; -$110

Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2014 (1-1, -$120)

Michigan State at Northwestern
Line: Michigan State by 11.5.

7:00 PM ET (Game 757-758)

My college basketball picks haven't been good the past two seasons, but I've tried to learn from my mistakes, and I've taken some things from my college football and NBA handicapping, so hopefully I'll be better this year. My first pick will be on Michigan State. The public is taking the Spartans, but it's not like Northwestern is receiving any support from the sharps. Great college teams can take care of business on the road. Michigan State has beaten Texas, Indiana and Penn State, all by double digits on the road, so I don't see why they can't do the same thing to crappy Northwestern.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Michigan State -11.5 (1 Unit) -- Correct; +$100

Florida State at Miami
Line: Florida State by 1.

9:00 PM ET (Game 777-778)

The sharps didn't have a hand in the other game, but they are ALL over Miami. The public is pounding Florida State, yet the spread is dropping. Casual bettors aren't considering the fact that the Seminoles have just one road victory over a good team this year. They're also ignoring Miami's recent surge; the Hurricanes have won four of five, including a victory at North Carolina. Their only loss during this stretch was a mere five-point defeat at Syracuse. Miami is definitely undervalued and should be favored in this matchup.

I'll be posting more college basketball picks throughout the day. I'll have updates on Twitter - @walterfootball.

College Basketball Pick: Miami +1 (2 Units) -- Incorrect; -$220
