2014 NCAA Bracketology

Updated 5/9

By: David Kay

The Selection Committee is always criticized when the brackets come out for leaving a team out, the seedings, or sending a program to play somewhere far away from home. Until you actually sit down and try to figure this thing out, don't knock the system because believe me, it's a complex process. Here's me taking a shot at it. Be sure to check back for my updated field.

New Mexico gets crushed by Saint Louis and this idiot has them as a higher seed then a Golden Gophers team that just killed Michigan St.

Maybe you should actually watch games that take place outside of the Big East you friggin moron.

FGCU won't be a 16 seed. They beat Miami and right now have an RPI in the 50's.

How is the big ten ranked per team from 1-8 of the tournament teams that you have making the field? Can you rank the ACC and Big East teams also?

Creighton is in the MVC, not the MWC.

"I think they lose to Colorado State, make the MWC tournament final since the tourney will be in Vegas and end up with a 6 seed."

I'm psychic. Honestly though, I actually have some confidence in this team for the first time in a month. Colorado is nothing special, and Baylor is mentally weak. I wouldn't be shocked if they lose to Belmont.

UNLV plays its best basketball against good teams, if they can get past Colorado I could see them making a mini-run with teams like Baylor and Duke.

The 3/11 morning update has only one Pac-12 team, the automatic bid of Colorado.

If Arizona gets in over Nevada i'll be pissed.

The Wildcats are a joke of a basketball team playing in a joke of a conference.

UVA could take St. Mary's no problem, but I expect UVA to be an 8 seed after the acc tournament.

You have Oregon in there twice. Now, I don't think they get a singel bid, let alone 2. You have them as the #12 in the Midwest, and the #12 in the West. C'mon, MAN! Also, Why is Cal a #10, and Washington, which beat Cal for the Pac-12 title is #11? C'MON, MAN!!!

You clearly haven't watched a Kentucky game very close. Syracuse is completely undisciplined compared to probably the most talented disciplined team in the ncaa. The reds also bailed Syracuse out of three games this season. If your going to give me either a team with six first round, disciplined draft picks or maybe one or two first rounders on a team that doesn't play spectacular defense or sound offense almost Everytime up the court, ill take Kentucky Everytime over Syracuse.

a team i woulden't want to play in the tourney at this time would be Marquette.. I think there gonna make alot of noise in this yrs tourney.. Also, Syracuse is the best team in the country i believe..

As much as I love UNLV it'd take a miracle for them to get a four seed. They'd need to win going away in pretty much every game the rest of the regular season and in their conference tournament.

Yes they beat North Carolina, but the Orleans arena in Las Vegas is hardly a neutral site. They've been incredibly bad on the road (they nearly lost to Boise State and Air Force, lost to a weak TCU team, and got destroyed by 20 against New Mexico) and I gotta assume the tourney selection committee will hold that against them. Their one decent road win came against an Illinois team that's fallen apart in the past month.

I think they lose to Colorado State, make the MWC tournament final since the tourney will be in Vegas and end up with a 6 seed.
