Round 1

1. Browns: Josh Allen, Quarterback, Wyoming

A new GM means they have time for a QB prospect to develop. It also means Hugh Jackson won't be around to see the end product. Allen needs the most time before he should play but he has the most upside. They'll let him sit the entire year behind Taylor and Staten as the #3 QB and he won't take a snap.

2. Giants: Sam Darnold, Quarterback, USC

Darnold is the only QB the Giants would take and with the Browns passing on him they resind all the trade offers on the table to take Eli Manning's replacement. They'll stick with Manning most of the year but Darnold will get some playing time and under preform as he needs to also take a redshirt.

3. Jets: Baker Mayfield, Quarterback, Oklahoma

This is the Jets guy all along. They traded up to 3 knowing their is a very large probability Mayfield will still be on the board. He'll be starting by week 7 and will actually play well.

4. Bills: Josh Rosen, Quarterback, UCLA

It's gonna take 3 #1 picks for Cleveland to move from this spot and that's what they get. Picks 12 and 22 this year and Buffalo's #1 next year. It's a steep price but they need their QB and with Rosen set to be taken by the Broncos at 5 they had to pull the trigger. He'll be a week 1 starter.

5. Broncos: Saquon Barkley, Running Back, Penn State

The Broncos are looking to trade CJ Anderson and taking Barkley will most assuredly make that happen. It would be either him or Chubb here but I think Chubb is a bit of a miscast for a 3-4 defense.

6. Colts: Bradley Chubb, Defensive End, N.C. State

But Chubb is the perfect fit for Indianapolis' new 4-3 defense. Their would be no debate if he is still on the board. The Colts have so many needs and he is a great start to their rebuild.

7. Buccaneers: Derwin James, Safety, Florida State

I haven't changed this pick in over a month. It just makes too much sense. Safety is a huge need for Tampa Bay and James I have ranked ahead of Fitzpatrick. This is just a perfect fit.

8. Bears: Quenton Nelson, Offensive Guard, Notre Dame

If the board falls like this the Bears are going to be giddy little school girls jumping up and down laughing and holding hands, probably playing a little grab ass too (Packer fan). But yeah, good pick.

9. Chargers: Lamar Jackson, Quarterback, Louisville

San Francisco wants to make sure Arizona doesn't have a chance to take Jackson and the Chargers need to make sure the have a QB succession plan from Rivers. They also need to battle the Rams for attention in LA and an electrifying QB can do that. Jackson sits for 2 years. SF gets picks 17 and 48.

10. Raiders: Roquan Smith, Outside Linebacker, Georgia

I have Edmunds rated higher than Smith but on the Raiders board I don't think that's the case. He's a good fit as they need a sideline to sideline LB but I think 10 is a little high due to his medical concerns.

11. Dolphins: Tremaine Edmunds, Outside Linebacker, Virginia Tech

Miami needs a SLB and Edmunds is a perfect fit. with Fitzpatrick still on the board their is some debate about taking him but they already have 2 decent safeties. I really like Edmunds going here.

12. Browns: Da'Ron Payne, Defensive Tackle, Alabama

They traded away Shelton and DT depth is pretty thin. With some quality DBs still on the board they might go that direction but the Browns have already spent a lot of resources upgrading that spot this off-season. Payne fits in this part of the draft.

13. Redskins: Vita Vea, Defensive Tackle, Washington

The Redskins need a safety so they could take Fitzpatrick but they need a run stuffing NT more. Their run defense was aweful last year and Vea is an athletic freak of nature.

14. Packers: Minkah Fitzpatrick, Safety, Alabama

Leave it to the Packers to stop a top prospect from slidding. The lost Burnett at safety and their CBs are aweful so pick a spot but he's starting somewhere in the defensive backfield next year.

15. Cardinals: Denzel Ward, Cornerback, Ohio State

Arizona misses out on the top QB prospects but because so many were taken in the top 10 some really great players are falling. Ward should have been taken much sooner but here he is at 15 teaming up with Patrick Peterson. Great pick if it falls like this.

16. Ravens: Rashaan Evans, Inside Linebacker, Alabama

At this point of the draft all the elite prospects are gone. I have 25 guys from here to pick 40 rated about this same so it's just a matter of scheme fit. Evans and CJ Mosley would be an awesome ILB duo and Evans also has some decent pass rush to him to possibly play some OLB.
